DEADLINES FOR IIMB EPGP
The selection process for the EPGP 2024-25 batch will be conducted in three rounds. Candidates can submit their application during any of these three rounds.
(Candidates are expected to apply to any one of these three rounds only. Candidates found applying in more than one round will be disqualified from further process of selection at any stage.)
ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA FOR IIM BANGLORE EPGP
- Graduation: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 50%.
- Reserved Categories: Candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories must have a minimum CGPA of 45% in their graduation.
- Professional Qualification: Candidates who have completed CA (Chartered Accountancy), ICWA (Institute of Cost and Works Accountants), or CS (Company Secretary) after Class XII are also eligible to apply.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience is required. It is preferable to have less than 12 years of work experience as of March 31, 2024.
- Standardized Test Scores: Applicants must submit their GRE (Graduate Record Examination) or GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) scores as part of the application process.
Online GMAT/GRE score (exam taken at home) is not applicable for EPGP 2024.
The CAT score is not accepted for admission to the IIM Bangalore Executive MBA.
REQUIREMENTS FOR IIM BANGLORE EPGP 2024 APPLICATION
- SSC, HSC & Bachelor’s Degree Transcripts: Transcripts of your secondary school (SSC), higher secondary school (HSC), and bachelor’s degree. These documents should reflect your academic performance throughout your educational journey.
- GMAT/GRE Score Sheet: Submit your official GMAT or GRE score sheet. Remember to use the IIMB EPGP code Q9H-KK-84 for GMAT and code 1675 for GRE. Directly sending your scores to IIMB using these codes is mandatory.
- Statement of Purpose (SOP- 600 Words): Write a compelling statement of purpose that outlines your future goals and achievements. This document allows you to express your motivations and aspirations for pursuing the EPGP program.

- Work Experience Letters / Payslips: Provide work experience letters or payslips that indicate the dates of joining your previous and current employment. These documents serve as evidence of your professional experience. Candidates with 12+ years of work experience are ideally not accepted into the EPGP of IIMB, such candidates are recommended to check IIMA/ IIMC for their executive MBA choices.
- SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS Certificate (if applicable): If you belong to any of these categories (SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS), submit a relevant certificate as proof during the application process.
- Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate: If you have a disability and wish to claim reservation benefits, include a disability certificate as supporting documentation.

Merit cum Means – Admission:

– Each scholarship is worth INR 500,000.

How is the EPGP different from the PGP?
Although both are full-time residential programs leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA), the EPGP is a one-year program while the PGP is for two years. The EPGP is designed specifically for professionals with a Minimum of 5 years (and preferably less than 12 years) of work experience after completion of graduation. The program provides a foundation in key management concepts and disciplines and builds on students’ existing experience to prepare them for senior management positions. The International Immersion Module gives students an opportunity to broaden their learning and deepen their knowledge about an increasingly globalized economic environment.
What are the guidelines for the written Ability Test for the Executive MBA from IIM Bangalore application process?
The written ability test is a half an hour a written exam.
Applicants are given a topic to write an essay.
The time limit for writing the Written Ability Test is 30 minutes.
The first 10 minutes can be used to think about the points to write.
The next 20 minutes will be the writing session.
Only after submitting the WAT will the candidate be allowed to sit for the interview.
What degree is offered at the end of the program?
The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) is a master’s level program, leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Is the international component optional?
No, it is compulsory.
What is the average GMAT score?
There is no minimum GMAT score. However, GMAT scores are looked at in relation to the applicants’ pool. Last year’s average GMAT score of the batch was about 697.
Can the reference letters be sent by mail?
No, you must provide updated contact information of your referees in the online application, who must submit the reference letters directly to IIMB online. Your referee will receive an email containing the link to submit the reference. A passcode will also be sent through a separate email to the referee. The referees must submit the references online using the reference link provided on or before the last date of application.
By when should reference letters reach IIMB?
The reference section is a part of your online application. Reference letters must be submitted by the referees before the application due date of the respective rounds.
Applications cannot be submitted until reference letters are received online. Since your referees may take time to submit reference letters provide the contact information of the referees as soon as possible.
Does The EPGP Program At IIMB Offer Placement?
Yes, IIMB provides placement assistance to all EPGP students. The office of Career Development Services (CDS) helps EPGP Student Placement Committee on the campus recruitment process.
