  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline.

Admission Process for PGPX 2024-25 at IIM Ahmedabad

  1. Selection Rounds:
  • The selection process for the PGPX program consists of three rounds, giving candidates the flexibility to choose the round they prefer to apply in.
  • Candidates can submit their applications during any one of the three rounds.
  1. Rigorous Evaluation:
  • PGPX candidates undergo a rigorous admissions process that assesses their qualifications and potential for success.
  • The evaluation includes standardized test scores (GMAT/GRE), leadership profiling, and personal interviews.

Stage 1: Shortlisting

  • In the first stage, eligible candidates who meet the program’s criteria are shortlisted for a Personal Interview.

Stage 2: Personal Interview

IIM Ahemadabad PGPX Fees

Program Fees for PGPX 2023-24 at IIM- Ahmedabad

Fee Structure:

  • The Programme Fee for the 2023-24 PGPX Batch is INR 31.5 lakhs for candidates opting for SSH (Single Accommodation).
  • For candidates choosing MSH (Married Student Housing), the fee is 33.5 lakhs.
  • These fees cover tuition, books, course materials, accommodation, and service facilities like library access, computing resources, and network changes.

International Immersion Programme (IIP) Costs:

  • The Program Fee does not include the cost of the International Immersion Programme (IIP).
  • The expenses related to travel and stay during the IIP are not covered and need to be borne separately.

Additional Utilities:

  • Utilities such as electricity, telephone, laundry, and sports/gym subscriptions are not included in the Program Fee.
  • These charges will be billed separately based on individual usage.

Payment Methods:

  • IIMA accepts online payments for various purposes through Credit card/Net Banking.

Scholarships and Financial Aid at IIM Ahmedabad for PGPX

​IIM Ahmedabad’s PGPX program offers scholarships to admitted students based on their applications. The scholarships are awarded after completing the admission and joining formalities, and the amount can range up to 25% of the SSH fee. Various scholarships are available under the Entry Scholarships category, including those for

  • underrepresented genders
  • transgender students
  • non-Indian passport holders
  • fine arts/sports achievers at a national level
  • armed forces professionals
  • differently-abled students
  • individuals who have worked in government or non-profit sectors. Additionally, scholarships based on exceptional performance during the PGPX program are awarded at graduation, with amounts extendable up to 15% of the SSH fee.

Apart from this, there are several nationalized banks that offer collateral-free education loans for the PGPX course. Also, SBI has its branch on the campus to make things easier for the candidates.

There is no minimum requirement of bachelor’s level scores as eligibility to apply. However, selected candidates are likely to have had a consistently good academic record.

Do you need Letter of Recommendations / Statement of Purpose / Essays?

Essays and Letters of Recommendation only comes after the candidates are shortlisted and not during application submission. Only shortlisted candidates would be asked to submit two essays – the topics of which will be announced along with the shortlisting for personal interviews. However, successful candidates are required to give details of three references.

Do part-time jobs count towards the minimum work experience requirements?

In most cases no; for example, if you are applying for 2024-25 batch you must expect to have at least four years of full-time, post-graduation work experience by March 2024. However please tell us if there are extenuating circumstances which mean that you have only been able to work part-time or on temporary contracts.

What does the Admissions Committee look for in a candidate?

The Committee takes into consideration the applicant’s professional background, including progression in their career, academic preparedness, accomplishments and strong interpersonal skills.

Is there any scholarship available?

Yes, the PGPX program has instituted five (5) interest waiver scholarships on a merit basis which will work as interest waived on bank loan taken by students (for the program fee) for a year. The maximum amount for scholarships can go up to 3 lahks.

What is the cut-off score for the GMAT/GRE?

While there is no minimum score required for admission, candidates are advised to aim for a score at or above the 70th-75th percentile for both the quantitative and verbal sections of the GMAT/GRE. Please keep in mind, however, that standardized tests are just one of several admission criteria. A high score does not guarantee admission, and a below-average score does not eliminate a candidate.
